What is the big idea for your Creative Life?
My big idea is to uplift children and to offer something to the adults who are responsible for guiding the children to adulthood. Calm the adult, stimulate the child’s imagination - perfect harmony.
I would like to see a world where the adults are not stretched so thin that harmony is just a pie in the sky idea. I would like to see a world where children know peace and can flourish and grow in their imagination and see those ideas brought into the world.
I love this quote by Albert Einstein: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”
I chose Publishing to explore a method that honors the creative process within me and to hopefully meet others who honor the creative process too.
While I was trained in Production and Technical Design and worked in Opera and Desktop Publishing/Graphic Design for others, I have found that what I learned in each of those areas gave me skills that can be put to good use on the Simple Books platform.
I cherish the ability to create with words and pictures. I cherish the platform of the internet to connect with like-minded people who are also exploring the creative process. I love all the ways that people are coming together around creativity and how companies are getting behind each of us looking for a way to help us to self-publish our work. I truly believe much good will come from all of this.
If we take our time to create the books we love to read over and over again, perhaps we will learn how to improve our work. Then we will have started a good library to share with others. This takes time and patience.
I invite you to subscribe to my blog posts. They come out every other month. The next one will be in December - in time for the Christmas Holidays.
"It is always better to explore your own creativity and make your own path by walking that path. There is always help for those on that particular journey. If we can but take one step closer to a heart centered existence on this precious planet then we have travelled a long way towards embodying who we are in our True Self." ~ Pamela McRae-Dux
What is the big idea for your writing life?
Take a little time and write out the Big Idea of your heart and see if that does not become the organizing principle around which your life will be formed from now on.
